New Site!

Allow me to redirect you to our NEW blog URL...one that I find HIGHLY attractive, craftier, and just generally easier to use.

Okay, fine, Blogger is too ugly and complicated for me.

Make sure you change your Facebook statuses to reflect this change!

See you at Tumblr!

Sister Spotlight: Ari Fund and Hannah Mescon

In the first installment of this highly serious interview series, sisters will be subjected at random to an array of in-depth questions. First up...best friends Hannah Mescon and Ariel Fund, decadent dames of Dexter.

Ari, a junior, hails from Rochester, NY, but recently relocated to sunny Florida. If you don't believe me, look at her license plate. She is majoring in advertising and has killer hair extensions.

The Mesconator splits her time away from Boston in New York City and Connecticut. So don't bother this broad, she knows the mean streets and will beat you down if you cross her. She also recently became Austrian. Look her up on Facebook: Hannah von Mescon.

Molly: Who in DG do you have a girl crush on?

Ari & Hannah: EACH OTHER!!!

Molly: (vomits)

Ari: Because we always make each other laugh no matter what, and we know when the other one is sad how to make her happy.

Molly: What do you each eat for breakfast?

Ari: We BOTH eat turkey bacon and eggs.

Hannah: Egg whites!

Ari: And I mix one egg and one egg white.

Molly: What are in each of your refrigerators?

Ari: In mine you would find apples, soy milk, soy cheese, pickles, oranges, butter, jelly, turkey.

Molly: And you, Hannah?

Hannah: Cheese, chicken, salad, lots of sauces and dressings, onions, peppers, eggs, broccoli, and veggie burgers.

Molly: If you were a fish tomorrow, how would you react?

Ari: If Hannah were with me, I'd be okay. But only if I could talk to my family.

Molly: No! You can't talk! Fish don't talk!

Ari: I would probably freak the BLEEEEP out.

Molly: No profanity, please!

Hannah: I would be okay. It would be cool to live underwater and not have to come up for air.

Ari: Okay, I would totally freak out.

Molly: Okay, next question. Someone pulls out a camera to take pictures that you know will be on Facebook tomorrow. What is your default picture pose?

Hannah: Ari's face is the lip pucker up with seductive smile.

Ari: Hannah's is crazy, fabulous hair flip with hip popped out and peace sign.

Molly: So Miley! Now, how many hats do you each own?

Ari: Three each. Mine are a pink Red Sox hat, the DG baseball hat, and a funky, multi-colored rainbow sombrero.

Molly: How often do you wear the sombrero?

Ari: Only on special occasions.

Hannah: I have a navy blue BU hat and two rando baseball hats.

Molly: Okay, last question: what did you each want to be when you were 12, and what do you want to be now?

Ari: I wanted to be for real Britney Spears. Like for real. And now I want to be an event planner for bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, and corporate events!

Hannah: I wanted to be Britney Spears, too, and I STILL DO.

Ari: No but for real, she wants to be a screenwriter.

Welcome DG Babies!

Fresh out of the recruitment womb, our new Delta Gammas are the perfect kind of babies: no crying, plenty of cuteness. And okay, it took a lot of effort to push out 42 Greek infants, but they are so worth it.

Welcome babies!!!

WE LOVE YOU!

By the way...can someone help me stalk Facebook for a picture of these lovelies? Amazingly, my skills are failing me. I can't find ONE picture of the entire new member class!

Apologies for the Absence!

Sorry girlfriends, amidst the inauguration, recruitment, and trying to not fail Spanish 1 (anyone wanna tutor mi?? I will amo you forever!) the blog updates have been lacking. But don't worry, I'm back, with LOTS to share!

Just a reminder:

If you want anything posted on the blog, e-mail me at anchorbabble@gmail.com.

It's the perfect place for personal announcements, funny sightings, congratulations, whatever! Keep you anchor-eyes peeled for anything post-worthy.

See you at chapter Tuesday!

Your till my keyboard burns up,

DG Does DC

Expect MASSIVE updates on goings-on in our nation's capital--several politically-minded sisters, including yours truly, are attending the presidential inauguration in DC!

Here's who is on the roster so far--shoot Top Journalist Molly an e-mail if I've forgotten you.

Lauren "I Bleed Red, White, and Blue" Prince
Kaitlyn "I Voted for McCain" Turner (it's okay Turner...so did I! But we're all up for a little Obama-mania, right?!)
Kia "I Got My Ticket Yesterday" Kuretski

And of course, Alpha Theta mumsy Jessie Saunders will be there. She currently resides in DC and will be attempting to meet up with her Little Little (ME!) at some point.

Wish us luck--we'll bring back lots of fun souvenirs and post pics!

I've Got a Crush on You...

I know it's tempting to stick to Newbs for every shopping fix, but don't forget our friends on Charles St.! Despite Beacon Hill being mucho expensivo (err...it's still my first week of Spanish One!!), Crush is ACTUALLY affordable and wonderfully stylish.

Crush Boutique lent us clothes for Project Delta Glam, and Chelsea is working on scheduling a time for owners Rebecca and Laura to come teach us about small business ownership. They are childhood friends who opened the store together after abandoning the dull world of corporate America.

By the way, only these girls could write an entire blog about cocktail rings and affordable clutches. Read at your leisure and keep checking up--they alert followers of upcoming sales.
