DG Does DC

Expect MASSIVE updates on goings-on in our nation's capital--several politically-minded sisters, including yours truly, are attending the presidential inauguration in DC!

Here's who is on the roster so far--shoot Top Journalist Molly an e-mail if I've forgotten you.

Lauren "I Bleed Red, White, and Blue" Prince
Kaitlyn "I Voted for McCain" Turner (it's okay Turner...so did I! But we're all up for a little Obama-mania, right?!)
Kia "I Got My Ticket Yesterday" Kuretski

And of course, Alpha Theta mumsy Jessie Saunders will be there. She currently resides in DC and will be attempting to meet up with her Little Little (ME!) at some point.

Wish us luck--we'll bring back lots of fun souvenirs and post pics!

I've Got a Crush on You...

I know it's tempting to stick to Newbs for every shopping fix, but don't forget our friends on Charles St.! Despite Beacon Hill being mucho expensivo (err...it's still my first week of Spanish One!!), Crush is ACTUALLY affordable and wonderfully stylish.

Crush Boutique lent us clothes for Project Delta Glam, and Chelsea is working on scheduling a time for owners Rebecca and Laura to come teach us about small business ownership. They are childhood friends who opened the store together after abandoning the dull world of corporate America.

By the way, only these girls could write an entire blog about cocktail rings and affordable clutches. Read at your leisure and keep checking up--they alert followers of upcoming sales.

More from Sunset

We're Baaaack!

Delta Gamma: keeping Sunset Cantina in business one fajita at a time.

For those not in attendance, here's what you missed on official Delta Gamma Sunset Cantina Day:

  • Emily Isaac is in her last semester (boo hoo!) and student teaching at three schools in Newton. Give her an apple next time you see her!
  • Laurie's new mantra: "No, Molly, I won't share the lettuce wraps with you. I want to eat them myself!" Thirty minutes later..."We should have shared them." Keels over on table.
  • Maddie waited for Sienna at the airport today....what a good friend! The two then mosey-ed over to Sunset for post-plane munchies.
  • No one wanted their picture taken, making it a lot harder for me to fulfill my new year's resolution: take more pictures. My new new year's resolution: buy a paparazzi camera with a super-zoom lens. Document precious memories from 87 yards away.
  • Juliet and I spent the rest of the evening shopping for eye cream and facial scrub at CVS.
  • Corrin, Chantal, and Carina were lurking at the front table, trying to remain undercover and unseen behind a heaping plate of nachos. THERE IS NO HIDING FROM ME!

Wish you could have all been there!

Hint: You will NOT be surprised.

New Year, New Blog!

2009 begins not with a bang, but with a babble!

Everything from sister updates to interviews to videos to congratulations to event reminders and recaps will be chronicled, so feel free to e-mail me at AnchorBabble@gmail.com with any suggestions or ideas. The blog depends on news, and trust me...even an anchor undies sighting at Target counts.

Can't wait to hear from you...and make sure to check back daily for updates! You never know...the next post could feature you.

See ya in a few days!
